Performance



Engine Power:
The engine of the QX was designed to be both more powerful and more efficient.  The 5.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) V8 features dual overhead cams, 32 valves and sophisticated VVEL valve control that enhances throttle response as well as economy.  400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque deliver an impressive 8500lb towing capacity and the ability to pass with confidence.  Acceleration is specially honed to the senses, increasing with a smooth, rising swell.  The capability of the QX is matched with sensory reward.

Hydraulic Body Motion Control Center:
Infiniti engineers complemented the power and size of the QX with innovative technology to augment cornering.  The Hydraulic Body Motion Control system monitors force and distributes variable pressure to either the outer or inner suspension.  The result is one you'll feel with minimized body lean and a smoother ride at all speeds.

All Season 4-Wheel Drive:
Because road conditions are unpredictable, the QX automatically adjusts for better traction.  Infiniti All-Mode 4WD monitors and tunes torque between front and rear wheels to help maintain grip on rain-soaked or snow-slicked Wisconsin roads.  Yet individually selectable 4H and 4L models also let you make the choice yourself.  Infiniti engineering empowers the QX driver with a greater sense of command in all seasons.



Interior



Luxury Atmosphere:
Enter an interior crafted around touch, sight and sound.  Modern materials and rich textures create a sophisticated space of warmth and elegance.  Leather is specifically treated to provide the softest touch and breath-ability for comfort in heat or cold.  And to further foster solace, Infiniti designed key areas of the QX with noise-insulating glass to help ensure peace and serenity.

         

Dedicated Comfort:
Travel in the QX and savor comfort that could only come from dedication to each individual.  The heated first-row seats cater to occupants with power adjustments and available cooling climate control.  2nd-row passengers relax in class-leading legroom and captain's chairs with optional heating, or an available bench seat to accommodate up to 8.  For 3rd-row passengers, comfort is found in the shaped contours of seats that power-recline.

     

Versatile Space:
The expansive interior of the Infiniti QX was astutely designed to adapt its volume to your needs.  The 60/40 split folding third row and available fold-down second row bench seats can arrange for any combination of up to 8 passengers and cargo.  Fold them all down and your QX can accommodate up to 95.1 cu-ft of cargo with a virtually flat floor area.

Tri-Zone Climate Control:
Because all guests have a personal idea of comfort, the QX offers three distinct climate zones.  The driver, front passenger, and rear passengers enjoy their own climate controls.  To ensure friends and family in the second two rows are cooled or warmed comfortably, front vents deliver air directly, while roof vents cascade it down the cabin sides.  The air itself can also be cleansed of most allergens, germs and odors with the available Advanced Climate Control System (ACCS).



Technology



Tri-Zone Entertainment System:
Experience your own personal entertainment.  With dual 7-inch screens, 2nd-row passengers can play their own movies or games, even while those in front enjoy music.  To keep items organized, designers planned spaces for the wireless headphones and remote, as well as the entertainment you bring with you.

Bose Premium Audio System:
Listen to your music with captivating depth and precision.  Sound is channeled through 11 speakers, including two subwoofers for the fullest experience.  With better sound enjoy greater selection: play CDs, and stream music from compatible Bluetooth device or XM Satellite Radio, or connect and control your iPod via the USB port.

Hard Drive Navigation System:
The next-generation touch-screen Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System features Infiniti Voice Recognition and XM NavTraffic which includes Real-Time Traffic information.  The high-resolution screen supports Birdview perspective control and enhanced 3-D building graphics.  Together, these features enhance your journey and help you navigate while Lane Guidance indicates the correct lane to be in when approaching an interchange or exit.  You can also access Real-Time Weather updates and 3-day forecasts using XM NavWeather and browse the Zagat Survey Restaurant Guide with ratings and reviews.

Distance Control Technologies:
Infiniti has transformed the way you interact with traffic with distance control technologies that help you move with the flow.  When activated, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full Speed Range) provides the benefits of cruise control with the options of adding speed and distance intervals.  In slowing traffic, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full Speed Range) provides the added advantage of slowing your vehicle as traffic slows, helping you maintain distance--then, as traffic flow picks up, accelerates to your pre-set speed and distance.  Industry - first Distance Control Assist intuitively helps the driver release the throttle and applies the brakes as needed in the slowing traffic.

Around View Monitor with Front and Rear Sonar System:
The Around View Monitor uses four exterior cameras, one on every side, to give you a virtual 360-degree view of your surroundings, with enhanced 180-degree rearward view.  This bird's-eye perspective is displayed on your in-dash monitor to help you see all around your Infiniti.  If you get too close to an object, you'll see a warning on the screen and an audible tone will also sound, giving you greater confidence when parking.

              


Safety



Safety Shield:
The Infiniti Safety Shield concept is our comprehensive approach to safety.  The all-new Infiniti QX offers layered technologies to help provide safety and convenience by monitoring conditions, helping you avoid a collision, and helping protect you and your passengers when one occurs.

Blind Spot Warning System:
Infiniti's intuitive Blind Spot Warning System helps alert the driver to vehicles detected in the blind spot area.  An indicator light illuminates if the presence of another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area.  If the driver engages the turn signal, the indicator flashes and an audible warning sounds.

Impact Protection:
Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) provides dual-stage front supplemental air bags when sensors that adjust inflation rates depending on crash severity and seat belt usage.  Front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags help provide additional protection for front occupants.  Roof-mounted curtain supplemental air bags deploy from the headliner above the windows, helping to give outbroard occupants enhanced head protection.  Front-seat Active Head Restraints help reduce whiplash-type injuries, seat belt pretensioners work to help protect occupants in the event of certain types of collision, and Zone Body construction helps maintain the integrity of the passenger compartment.  All are ways in which Infiniti technology helps to provide a more comfortable and safer driving experience.

Enhanced Control:
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) helps correct oversteer or understeer by applying brake pressure to individual wheels and adjusting the engines power output.  The Traction Control System (TCS) helps enhance rear-wheel grip when accelerating by sensing wheelspin and automatically reducing engine output and/or braking the spinning wheel.

Intelligent Brake Assist with Forward Collision Warning:
Using the system's laser range finder, Forward Collision Warning (FCW) helps alert the driver of a potential collision by providing a visual and audible warning.  If the driver doesn't respond, and a collision cannot be avoided, Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) automatically engages the brakes to help reduce collision speed and impact, helping to mitigate the consequences of the accident.

Lane Departure Prevention:
Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) helps keep your vehicle from unintentionally drifting from your lane.  The available system utilizes a camera to monitor the distance between the vehicle and lane markings.  If the vehicle drifts unintentionally towards the lane markers, the system first sounds an audible warning, then lightly applies selected brakes to help you ease your vehicle back into its lane.
