Performance


Acceleration Swell:
By remapping the delivery of power in the shape of a peaking wave rather than in a short-lived burst, Infiniti redesigned the way you experience acceleration.  It is called Acceleration Swell: a progressive, seemingly limitless rush that builds faster the faster you push the 328-hp 3.7-liter VVEL V6.

Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD):
Infiniti's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) provides power where and when you need it, instantly adapting to changing conditions.  By constantly monitoring wheelspin, throttle position and vehicle speed, this system automatically diverts up to 50% of the available power to the front wheels, enhancing traction and control in adverse conditions.  When all-wheel drive is not needed, the system sends 100% of the power to the rear wheels for more responsive road performance.

Sport Features:
Sport options dedicated to satisfying the enthusiast include a sport-tuned suspension for sharper handling and a Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD) for improved traction under acceleration.  Sport models enjoy sport-bolstered seats and artful details, such aluminum pedals with rubber studs, aggressive front fascia, sport side sills and split, 5-spoke 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.  Select Sport models come equipped with larger brakes featuring opposed piston calipers.

Modern Warmth:
The dynamic lines of the Shodo aluminum trim flow smoothly into the organic shapes of the dash.  Optional Maple accents offer a sophisticated and warm look.  Gauges and knobs glow with the striking hue of violet.  Spacious, yet with the intimacy of a cockpit.  It is design crafted with a singular goal: to create a personal connection with the driver.

                

Sensory Reward:
Switches specifically crafted to reward you with each touch.  Not too stiff, not too light.  A consistent level of resistance painstakingly reproduced in each and every button throughout the cockpit.  It's a philosophy of designing sensory satisfaction into every detail that shapes the interior of the G Sedan, from the extra-supple leather to the feel of the brake pedal.

Driver's Seat:
Creating an environment of comfort and connection.  Standard 8-way power adjustments with available memory functions that adjust to your personal seating positions automatically the moment you start the car.  Also available are side mirrors and a steering wheel that adjust if you slide the seat forward or back, keeping the side view just as you like it.  The Sport Package adds adjustable thigh and torso bolsters, along with a thigh extension that you can fine-tune for performance driving. 


Technology


Intelligent Cruise Control:
Your Infiniti transforms the reality of traffic with technology that will help effortlessly manage your speed and maintain your distance to the car ahead.  When traffic slows, Intelligent Cruise Control will automatically slow your vehicle to maintain a safe distance, then resume your set cruising speed when traffic clears.

Hard Drive Navigation System:
The next-generation touch-screen Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System features Infiniti Voice Recognition and XM NavTraffic which includes Real-Time Traffic information.  The high-resolution screen supports Birdview perspective control and enhanced 3-D building graphics.  Together, these features enhance your journey and help you navigate while Lane Guidance indicates the correct lane to be in when approaching an interchange or exit.  You can also access Real-Time Weather updates and 3-day forecasts using XM NavWeather and browse the Zagat Survey Restaurant Guide with ratings and reviews.

Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose:
Engineers took 1,000 acoustic measurements to understand how sound would behave in the G Sedan so that the speaker choices and locations would reproduce music with the richness of a live performance.  Then they used a $30,000 home audiophile system as a benchmark to build the available Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose.  With the unique Driver's Audio Stage setting, the sound is optimized to focus on the driver, creating a closer connection between artist and audience.

Infiniti Controller:
Effortlessly communicate with your vehicle through the Infiniti Controller.  With simple instructions and the push of a few buttons, you have complete command over vehicle information and the available navigation system.  With clear buttons that let you jump to major systems and a secondary set of buttons that adjusts audio and climate, the system is clean, intuitive and keeps you in control.

                


Safety


Impact Protection:
Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) provides dual-stage front supplemental air bags when sensors that adjust inflation rates depending on crash severity and seat belt usage.  Front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags help provide additional protection for front occupants.  Roof-mounted curtain supplemental air bags deploy from the headliner above the windows, helping to give outboard occupants enhanced head protection.  Front-seat Active Head Restraints help reduce whiplash-type injuries, seat belt pretensioners work to help protect occupants in the event of certain types of collision, and Zone Body construction helps maintain the integrity of the passenger compartment.  All are ways in which Infiniti technology helps to provide a more comfortable and safer driving experience.

Enhanced Control:
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) helps correct oversteer or understeer by applying brake pressure to individual wheels and adjusting the engines power output.  The Traction Control System (TCS) helps enhance rear-wheel grip when accelerating by sensing wheelspin and automatically reducing engine output and/or braking the spinning wheel.

Preview Braking:
The Preview Braking system is designed to anticipate your need to brake.  When the available Intelligent Cruise Control laser sensors detect a rapidly closing distance to a vehicle ahead, it pre-pressurizes the brakes in anticipation of the brakes being applied.  The system also responds the same way when it senses you've suddenly lifted off the gas pedal.
