Performance



3.7-liter V6 VVEL Engine:
The first time you touch the accelerator, you'll know everything has changed.  The visceral intensity of the hard-charging, class-leading 325-hp engine is brought to life by exclusive VVEL technology, which continually optimizes valve lift and timing for a broader torque curve and invigorating acceleration.

7-Speed Automatic Transmission:
Until it is harnessed, engine power is purely potential.  Channeling the considerable power generated by the engine is a 7-speed automatic transmission.  A sophisticated learning algorithm adapts to your individual driving style and adjusts automatic shifting to optimize engine performance.  Select manual shift mode and take complete control of the seven precisely-matched gears.  When downshifting, the engine automatically adjusts speed output to smooth out shifts.

Sport Brakes:
The massive 14-inch front rotors and sculpted 4-piston calipers grab faster and with more finite control.  Press the brake pedal and you'll feel their precise feedback and gain a greater sense of power and control.  The standard Sport brakes on the 6MT model are also available on the Sport Package along with sport-tuned steering and 19-inch wheels.

Coupe-like Ride Quality:
In designing the G Convertible, Infiniti engineers were committed to maintaining the feel and handling of a coupe.  Rigid body structure and dampening, along with independent front and multi-link rear suspension, allow for heightened responsiveness during cornering and minimized upper body shake.  Dual Flow Path shock absorbers help create a synchronous bond that makes handling as agile as it is effortless.



Top-Down Design



Power Retractable Hardtop:
The three-piece retractable hardtop was engineered to open and close in an unconventional clamshell manner to minimize bulk when folded, creating a slimmer, more appealing exterior look.  It opens and closes smoothly and efficiently so you can get to the best part of the G Convertible experience: the drive.

             

Captivating Interior:
The interior of the G Convertible is designed for consummate comfort.  Elegant materials flow from the door trim behind the rear seats, giving the interior a progressive, modern look.  The unique Silk Obi aluminum or optional Maple interior accents trim softly and gracefully glows under sunlight to create warm, flowing lines.  Supple leather rewards your touch, and polished accents provide a refined finishing touch.

Uncompromised Comfort:
From the elegant yet durable leather appointments to the 8-way heated power front seats with driver's lumbar support and steering wheel-mounted controls, every detail of the interior is crafted to create an environment of comfort and personalization.

Adaptive Climate Control:
To maintain a comfortable, consistent temperature even when the top is down, the Adaptive Climate Control System automatically adjusts according to outside temperature and your speed.  During the day, when its warm outside and you're slowing down, the system increases A/C output to cool you down as the refreshing wind diminishes.



Technology



Bose Open Air Sound System:
The available Bose Open Air Sound System monitors ambient noise, vehicle speed and hardtop position.  Then it dynamically adjusts the amplifier's equalization to create unrivaled clarity across all 13 speakers, whether the top is up or down.  Meanwhile, AudioPilot 2.0 noise compensation technology helps reduce unwanted outside noise to preserve optimum listening conditions. 

Intelligent Cruise Control:
Your Infiniti transforms the reality of traffic with technology that will help effortlessly manage your speed and maintain your distance to the car ahead.  When traffic slows, Intelligent Cruise Control will automatically slow your vehicle to maintain a safe distance, then resume your set cruising speed when traffic clears.

Media Versatility:
Enjoy your music however you prefer - plug in your iPod, flash drive or any other compatible storage device into the standard USB port.  XM Satellite Radio is standard and comes with a free trial.  For vehicles equipped with a Navigation Package, DVD movie playback is also supported on the high-resolution LCD display when the vehicle is safely parked.

Hard Drive Navigation System:
The next-generation touch-screen Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System features Infiniti Voice Recognition and XM NavTraffic which includes Real-Time Traffic information.  The high-resolution screen supports Birdview perspective control and enhanced 3-D building graphics.  Together, these features enhance your journey and help you navigate while Lane Guidance indicates the correct lane to be in when approaching an interchange or exit.  You can also access Real-Time Weather updates and 3-day forecasts using XM NavWeather and browse the Zagat Survey Restaurant Guide with ratings and reviews.

                       

RearView Monitor:
Engage reverse and your vehicle information system displays images from a discreetly-mounted color camera on the rear of the vehicle.  Colored guidelines help give you an accurate sense of how close you are to objects behind, and they adjust as you turn, to show your path.  As an added measure, the optional Rear Sonar System emits a beeping tone and displays an icon on the RearView Monitor display when an obstacle appears near the rear bumper.

     

Safety



Rollover Protection:
If an impending rollover is detected, dual Pop-up Roll Bars engage automatically behind the rear seats to help protect occupants.  Structurally reinforced A-pillars, body sills and body structure help enhance overall passenger safety.   

Impact Protection:
Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) provides dual-stage front supplemental air bags when sensors that adjust inflation rates depending on crash severity and seat belt usage.  Front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags help provide additional protection for front occupants.  Roof-mounted curtain supplemental air bags deploy from the headliner above the windows, helping to give outboard occupants enhanced head protection.  Front-seat Active Head Restraints help reduce whiplash-type injuries, seat belt pretensioners work to help protect occupants in the event of certain types of collision, and Zone Body construction helps maintain the integrity of the passenger compartment.  All are ways in which Infiniti technology helps to provide a more comfortable and safer driving experience.

Advanced Braking:
The 4-wheel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is enhanced by brake assist, which helps apply the maximum brake force you need to be able to help prevent collision.  The available Preview Braking function uses the Intelligent Cruise Control laser sensors to detect a rapidly-slowing vehicle ahead, then pre-pressurizes the braking system in anticipation of emergency braking.  And Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) helps improve braking performance by actively adjusting the amount of brake force applied to the rear wheels.

Enhanced Control:
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) helps correct oversteer or understeer by applying brake pressure to individual wheels and adjusting the engines power output.  The Traction Control System (TCS) helps enhance rear-wheel grip when accelerating by sensing wheelspin and automatically reducing engine output and/or braking the spinning wheel.
