Performance

Engine:
The Ex is envisioned to stir confidence and respond with a liveliness that will make driving simply fun.  To that end, it was designed around a 297-hp 3.5 liter V6 with 253 lb-ft of torque.  You'll notice an unmistakable hint of its potential in the dual-polished exhaust tips.

Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD):
Infiniti's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) provides power where and when you need it, instantly adapting to changing conditions.  By constantly monitoring wheelspin, throttle position and vehicle speed, this system automatically diverts up to 50% of the available power to the front wheels, enhancing traction and control in adverse conditions.  When all-wheel drive is not needed, the system sends 100% of the power to the rear wheels for more responsive road performance.

Handling Dynamics:
Inspired by high-performance sports cars, the EX's Front Midship (FM) platform centers the vehicle's weight to help deliver quick steering response and precise balance through curves.  Superior turning radius and independent suspension help intensify the connection between driver and road.

Rewarding Atmosphere:
An environment designed around you.  Flowing shapes create intimate, personal space for driver and passenger alike.  Balck lacquer, aluminum, supple leather and available Maple interior accents add natural warmth and refined elegance to the cabin.  And an array of emotive color and texture combinations - inspired by the four seasons - allow you to precisely tailor the EX to your tastes and personality.

Personal Convenience:
Catering to your personal needs, the EX's driver's seat, steering wheel and outside mirror position respond simultaneously to your adjustments with the available synchronization function.  The tilt and telescoping steering wheel (with optional power) help provide maximum comfort and visibility.  Electroluminescent gauges, an available head restraint-mounted retractable coat hanger and leather seats are the little things that reflect the EX's attention to you.

Kimono-Inspired Front Seats:
A fit unlike any other, form seats that are beautiful, thoughtful, personal.  Inspired by the fit and drape of a finely tailored kimono, the driver and front passenger seats are designed to compliment you in a way one is accustomed to only finding in a custom garment.  Individually is embraced with perfect combination of form and function.

Adaptive Seating:
To easily accommodate your seating and cargo needs, the available power up-folding 2nd-row seats can be folded flat from the cargo area - at the push of a button.  Both front seats offer available power heating, and the driver's seat has an available memory function that automatically adjusts to your preferred settings.
                                                                                                                                           


Technology


Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System:
The next-generation touch-screen Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System features Infiniti Voice Recognition and XM NavTraffic which includes Real-Time Traffic information.  The high-resolution screen supports Birdview perspective control and enhanced 3-D building graphics.  Together, these features enhance your journey and help you navigate while Lane Guidance indicates the correct lane to be in when approaching an interchange or exit.  You can also access Real-Time Weather updates and 3-day forecasts using XM NavWeather and browse the Zagat Survey Restaurant Guide with ratings and reviews.

Around View Monitor with Front and Rear Sonar Systems:
The Around View Monitor uses four exterior cameras, one on every side, to give you a virtual 360-degree view of your surroundings, with enhanced 180-degree rearward view.  This bird's-eye perspective is displayed on your in-dash monitor to help you see all around your Infiniti.  If you get too close to an object, you'll see a warning on the screen and an audible tone will also sound, giving you greater confidence when parking.

                        

Distance Control Technologies:
Infiniti has transformed the way you interact with traffic with distance control technologies that help you move with the flow.  When activated, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full Speed Range) provides the benefits of cruise control with the options of adding speed and distance intervals.  In slowing traffic, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full Speed Range) provides the added advantage of slowing your vehicle as traffic slows, helping you maintain distance--then, as traffic flow picks up, accelerates to your pre-set speed and distance.  Industry - first Distance Control Assist intuitively helps the driver release the throttle and applies the brakes as needed in the slowing traffic.


Safety


Impact Protection:
Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) provides dual-stage front supplemental air bags when sensors that adjust inflation rates depending on crash severity and seat belt usage.  Front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags help provide additional protection for front occupants.  Roof-mounted curtain supplemental air bags deploy from the headliner above the windows, helping to give outbroard occupants enhanced head protection.  Front-seat Active Head Restraints help reduce whiplash-type injuries, seat belt pretensioners work to help protect occupants in the event of certain types of collision, and Zone Body construction helps maintain the integrity of the passenger compartment.  All are ways in which Infiniti technology helps to provide a more comfortable and safer driving experience.

Advanced Braking:
Security.  Confidence.  The 4-wheel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is enhanced by brake assist, which helps apply the maximum brake force you need to be able to help prevent collision.  The available Preview Braking function uses the Intelligent Cruise Control laser sensors to detect a rapidly-slowing vehicle ahead, then pre-pressurizes the braking system in anticipation of emergency braking.  And Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) helps improve braking performance by actively adjusting the amount of brake force applied to the rear wheels.

Enhanced Control:
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) helps correct oversteer or understeer by applying brake pressure to individual wheels and adjusting the engines power output.  The Traction Control System (TCS) helps enhance rear-wheel grip when accelerating by sensing wheelspin and automatically reducing engine output and/or braking the spinning wheel.
